Terms of Service

What IPMates is
IPMates is a portfolio tracking and analysis tool for Australian property investors. It helps you track properties, loans, rentals, transactions, and estimate tax obligations.
Not financial advice
IPMates is not a financial advisor, tax agent, or legal service. The calculators, estimates, and reports are tools to help you organise your information — they are not professional advice. Always consult a qualified accountant or financial advisor before making investment decisions. Tax rates and stamp duty thresholds may change — we update them periodically but cannot guarantee they reflect the latest legislation.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter. Keep your login credentials secure and notify us if you suspect unauthorised access. Use the service lawfully and don't attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with it.
Our responsibilities
We aim to keep IPMates reliable and available, but provide it on an "as is" basis. We are not liable for financial decisions made based on information in the app, inaccuracies in calculations due to outdated rates or user-entered data, or service interruptions beyond our control.
Billing and cancellation
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. You can cancel anytime via the billing portal — access continues until the end of your billing period. No refunds for partial periods.
Account termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with reasonable notice where possible.
Intellectual property
IPMates and its design, code, and content are our property. Your data belongs to you — we only access it to provide the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll notify you by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded or limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
